American Mobsters: America’s Infamous Criminals of the ‘20s and ‘30s
For this portion of the podcast, this episode will center around a mobster born in Sicily, Salvatore Lucania, better known as Charles “Lucky” Luciano. The overall theme, title and description of this podcast is maintained in reference to notorious 1920’s mobsters. Lucky Luciano was a well-known mobster throughout New York City and the mobster “family”, especially during the 1920’s, as one of the members of the “Big Six”, who dominated the illegal liquor trade on the East Coast. A vast library on mobsters of the 1920’s is available online, and I chose the following three sources while researching “Lucky” Luciano.
